Question 1.8

IS TWIITER A CREDIBLE SOURCE?!
http://www.trackur.com/hiring-managers-5-whys-and-wherefores-to-monitor-potential-employees

When it comes to credible sources, I would not consider using Twitter as a valid source of information. As the internet is a completely public domain where anyone can post anything, hardly anything on the internet can be referred to as a credible/reliable source. Personally when sourcing credible information I would look somewhere else and not towards Twitter or social medias for accurate information.

People pretend to be other people, and as humans we all have different veiws so you wont know whoes view is wright but sometimes it can be valid source of information when you are actually looking for those different veiws on different issues or diferent things.Twitter for me is not useful.

Question 1.7

What does Facebook say it will do in the effort of trying to protect minors who use the platform?

Facebook says, they take safety issues very seriously, especially with children, and we encourage parents to teach their children about safe internet practices. To learn more, they even have a Safety Center.
To protect minors, they may put special safeguards in place (such as placing restrictions on the ability of adults to share and connect with them), recognizing this may provide minors a more limited experience on Facebook. I think its a good thing but it doesn't keep the bad things from happening, because people use false identities and kids use false ages and pose as older people. The company plans to post content regularly to complement Facebook’s Safety Center introduced back in April, which has also been given a complete redesign.

Question 1.4

The internet infrustructure allowing my connections is:

Broadband
Broadband is a technology that transmits data at high speed along cables, ISDN / DSLs (Digital Subscriber Lines) and mobile phone networks.
The term 'broadband' refers to a wide range of frequencies which can be divided into channels. Broadband is most often found in the form of ADSL (carried along BT phone lines), though cable (using new fibre-optic cables) and mobile broadband (using 3G and 4G mobile reception) are hot contenders to topple ADSL's dominance.

Data Centre
A Data Centre is basically a specialist building that has the ability to power (and cool) massive amounts of computer equipment. Typically a Data Centre would also have a very large amount of network bandwidth to accommodate data transfer in and out of it.The Data Centre is the home for Internet Infrastructure. It is the central point of aggregation and distribution of data and network services

Network
Possibly to most important foundation block of Internet Infrastructure is the Network. Without a network connection no data can pass between Data Centres, over the Internet, and ultimately onto your Desktop, Laptop or Mobile Handset

Computer Equipment
Now that the two basics of Internet Infrastructure are in place – the ability to power your equipment, and the ability to connect it to the Internet, the next thing is the computer hardware that uses this to process and store the applications and data.

Storage Services
Data Storage is a huge part of Internet Infrastructure. All those emails accessible online, all the web pages on your favourite web site, all those photos on Facebook … are all stored on a hard drive in a DC somewhere

Server Applications
The final piece of underlying Internet Infrastructure is the server applications themselves. In order for an web application to be delivered from a server, that server requires an Operation System (typically Windows or Linux), a Web Server application (like Apache or Microsoft IIS), and a Database (such as MySQL, MS-SQL or Oracle
